Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

  • I see women ages 19 and up. I don’t provide family or couples therapy, but am happy to provide referrals.

  • This is a great question, and the answer depends on where you are in your journey and what kind of support you need right now.

    • Are ready to take action on your goals

    Have Specific Objectives

    • Are comfortable with being challenged to step outside your comfort zone

    • Want to address root causes but through forward-focused work

    The Bottom Line

    Think of it this way:

    • Counseling helps you heal and stabilize

    • Coaching helps you build and achieve

You might need counseling first if you're dealing with active mental health symptoms, trauma that hasn't been processed, or if you're in crisis.

You're probably ready for coaching if you've done some foundational healing work, you're functioning well day-to-day, and you're ready to create positive changes in your life.

    Still Not Sure?

Many people benefit from both at different times in their lives, or even simultaneously with different focuses. A good coach or therapist can help you determine which approach is right for your current situation. Don't hesitate to have a consultation call to discuss your specific needs and goals.

  • 75 minute intake session: $300

    50 minute counseling session: $200

  • The short answer: No.

The long answer: I am “out of network” for insurance. This means you are responsible for the fee at the time of our appointment. Depending on your plan, you may have out-of-network benefits and your insurance company may reimburse a certain percentage of the fee for my counseling services to you. I am happy to provide you with a receipt for services rendered. Prior to our first appointment, I encourage you to call the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm what your out-of-network benefits are so there aren’t any financial surprises.
